Mr. A.H. van Haga

Augusta van Haga is a committed family lawyer and mediator. In order to find out what is the best possible solution for you in your situation, she identifies with you which interests play a role - in the background -, what the sticking point is and what can work for you. This also means that Augusta will not let herself be restricted by the legal framework.

Due to her experience Augusta’s strength lies in helping one of the parents when parents cannot come to a joint decision about their child(ren). Examples include decision relation to dividing the care, a contact arrangement, but also permission for a (medical) treatment. Especially when it comes to vulnerable children and / or difficult situations such as international child abduction or international relocation, Augusta is instructed. This may be to obtain advice, but also to represent interests of a parent in proceedings.

The other area of law in which Augusta practises, is inheritance law. She represents heirs, but also the disinherited or executor-testamentary. As an inheritance law specialist she explains your legal position, looks at the options with you, so that you can come to an informed decision on how to deal with your case and which route to take.

Last but not least, Augusta uses her talents as a mediator. She prefers to do this in cases where children are involved and parents really want to find a solution together. A solution that best suits them, but above all their child (ren).

Augusta is a specialised family law and inheritance lawyer & divorce mediator and member of the Association of Family Law Attorneys and Divorce Mediators (vFAS). She is currently also a board member of vFAS.

As a specialist child abduction lawyer she is also a member of The Dutch Association of International Child Abduction Lawyers (D.I.A.L.) and registered with the International Child Abduction Center (CIKO).

Augusta is registered in the register of legal areas of the Dutch Bar Association in the principal legal areas inheritance law and family law with sub areas:

  • Mediation
  • International child abduction
  • Divorce
  • Maintenance matters
  • Contact arrangements

On the basis of this registration, she is required to obtain 10 training points in each registered principal area of law each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

If you have a problem or a challenge relating to parental responsibility or contact, (international) child abduction or inheritance law, please contact Augusta.
