Frederike Werts

Employment and tenancy lawyer

As an employment lawyer, Frederike Werts provides advice and litigation services on all aspects of this field. This includes drafting employment contracts and terms and conditions of employment, handling severance packages, settlement agreements, and dismissal law. A significant part of her practice involves absenteeism and disability, whether or not caused wholly or partially by an industrial dispute. Frederike also assists in many reorganisations. She represents both employers and employees, which means that she has a good understanding of the considerations of the other party.

In addition, Frederike is a lawyer specialising in tenancy law, with a particular focus on commercial property.

Her clients come from various industries and sectors, including SMEs, healthcare, foreign embassies, and international businesses. In addition to her work, she holds monthly free legal consultation hours in the library in her hometown of Voorschoten, aiming to make legal assistance accessible to those with a smaller budget.

Frederike has been associated with ScheerSanders Advocaten since 2002 and became a partner in the firm in 2012. This role makes her not only involved in legal work but also an entrepreneur. She appreciates entrepreneurship, which is why she is also active in the Entrepreneurs’ Association in Voorschoten.

In the register of legal practice areas of the Netherlands Bar Association, Frederike has registered the principal legal practice area of employment law. Based on this registration, she is required to obtain 10 training points in each registered principal legal practice area each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association.
